X FACTOR - Leon Jackson had the laugh factor at school

11 October 2007 - Teachers of Scottish X Factor finalist Leon Jackson have revealed he was more of a comedian than a singer while he was at school.

Their 18-year-old former pupil, who lives with his mum in Livingston, was described as a "hilarious" Peter Kay impressionist by staff at Whitburn Academy.

Leon also dressed up in drag to help raise funds for the school's common room.

His ex-teacher Anne Stokes said: "He was a joker - that's why I was amazed to see him turn up as a singer."

Leom is being mentored by Dannii Minogue in the hit karaoke competition.

He is currently rated as third favourite to win the show with William Hill.
