6 November 2007 - Rhydian started the X Factor as the bookies 33/1 outsider and sensationally he is now the 13/8 hot favourite to win the show.

Futureproof had been one of the favourites to win before getting the boot on Saturday night, a disastrous result for punters who had lumped on Alisha getting the boot.

"When we saw Rhydian was in the final twelve we did give him a hope in hell, but he now looks like the probable winner," said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
