Strictly Come Dancing - Matt Di Angelo is no square
12 December 2007 - Sizzling Matt Di Angelo and partner Flavia Cacace held rehearsals in an unusual place this week - EastEnders' Albert Square.
The dancing duo, who have reached the final three of the competition, took a trip to Walford because Matt had to be on set for filming duties.
He told the official Strictly Come Dancing website that he took Flavia along so they could squeeze in some extra practice between scenes.
However, he said that dancing in the Queen Vic has given him a positive boost - which he may have needed following a disastrous performance on the most recent round of the show.
"I was a little bit nervous," Matt admitted. "Flavia had an unusual idea to dance in front of the cast and crew & the more I dance in front of people the more it helps."
Fans of EastEnders will know that Matt plays Deano Wicks in the soap, who is currently imprisoned for perverting the course of justice.
Unfortunately, his character is due to be written out of the show and will appear for the final time in the early part of next year.
Deano will leave the square along with onscreen sister Carly.
