Strictly Come Dancing - Letitia Dean won't strictly be in panto

12 December 2007 - After a week of suffering from stomach flu, Letitia Dean has now had to bow out of a panto appearance due to a full schedule.

The ex-EastEnders actress, who was recently booted out of the competition, was set to star in Cinderella at Ipswich's Regent Theatre, but will now have to miss the December 22nd show.

An understudy will take her place for that particular day, according to local paper the Evening Star, because Letitia will be starring in the final episode of Strictly where all of the contestants return to the ballroom.

"Customers booked for December 22nd will be able to choose a different date," theatre manager Hazel Clover explained.

Letitia took a while to find her feet in Strictly Come Dancing but eventually won over the judges' approval.

However, a busy week which saw her rush offset to be sick meant her performances suffered as a result.

She is now looking forward to starring as the Fairy Godmother in the panto, but said she still had some lines to learn.

"It is going to be a great show and a fantastic family experience," she added.

Competing for the winner's crown on Strictly this series are Alesha Dixon, Matt Di Angelo and Gethin Jones.
