Strictly Come Dancing - Gethin is dating Katherine Jenkins

12 December 2007 - Katherine Jenkins has admitted she is dating Strictly Come Dancing hunk Gethin Jones.

The Welsh opera singer revealed today that she is dating Blue Peter presenter Gethin, but the relationship is still in its "early days."

She told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "We've been out a few times and we're both Welsh. It's early days, we have known each other a long time. But we've both got very busy schedules right now."

Katherine - who is currently starring alongside former ballerina Darcey Bussell in song and dance extravaganza, 'Viva La Diva' - first met Gethin two years ago when she appeared on children's TV show 'Blue Peter'.

Wales' new golden couple have reportedly been secretly dating since meeting up again when Katherine performed on the set of 'Strictly Come Dancing' in October.

PR guru Max Clifford said: "It's brilliant. Everybody loves a romance. Neither of them need a romance for their careers, so the hope and belief is that it's genuine.

"Gethin is a great looking lad and Katherine is stunning and a very successful girl. He has done very well and deserves to.

"He has conducted himself well on 'Strictly Come Dancing' and always comes across as a really nice lad. It's a breath of fresh air to see two people get together for the right reasons."
