Strictly Come Dancing - Opera star confirms Gethin Jones romance

12 December 2007 - Gorgeous opera singer Katherine Jenkins has let the cat out of the bag on her relationship with Gethin Jones.

Katherine, 27, told the Mirror that they had "been out a few times" - confirming recent speculation that the two were dating.

"It's early days - we have known each other a long time," she said.

The blossoming romance is sure to break many viewers' hearts, seeing as Gethin, 29, has become enormously popular since appearing on Strictly.

Katherine said she was behind Gethin to win the contest, but remained shy when asked about the couple's potential future.

"We've both got very busy schedules right now," she teased.

While Gethin is busy on the dancefloor, Katherine is currently appearing in a stage show with ballerina Darcey Bussell entitled Viva La Diva.

She has had a successful career so far in the world of opera, winning Classical Brit Awards and recently releasing her fifth album, Rejoice.

In addition to appearing as a guest on an episode of Strictly back in October, she is set to perform on the X Factor series finale.
