Sharon Osbourne calls X Factor a circus
24 October 2007 - Sharon Osbourne has spoken out about working on X Factor, calling the show a "bloody circus" on a chat show.
Days after she stormed off the set of the reality programme and claimed she was quitting, Sharon told Paul O'Grady on his show that despite the madness of X Factor, she would like to go back.
"It was a pantomime, with the pyro, features, girls dancing and wiggling. It's not my show - I'm just a hired hand. It's Simon Cowell's show," she explained.
However, the 55-year-old added that she would like to go back to her role as a judge but has not yet heard anything from X Factor producers.
"I don't know if ITV want me back. I want to go back to take care of my girls but I've not heard from anyone. I'll pay for the call," she remarked.
Meanwhile, an X Factor spokesperson told the Sun that Sharon would be welcome back to the "family", but added that they have not received any phone calls from her since she walked out.
The row came about after two of Sharon's three acts finished at the bottom of the rankings. It was also reported that she clashed with fellow judge Dannii Minogue that same night.
