Coronation Street's Lucy-Jo Hudson surprise proposal

9 October 2007 - 'Coronation Street' star Alan Halsall is about to pop the question to former co-star Lucy-Jo Hudson, it has been claimed.

The 25-year-old actor - who plays Street mechanic Tyrone Dobbs - is planning to join his long-term love on set of her new show 'Where The Heart Is' and surprise her with a proposal.

A source said: "Alan is taking time off from Corrie to fly out to see Lucy-Jo in South Africa, where she's filming, and he has something very, very special to ask her."

The pair met when Lucy-Jo, 24, also starred in the ITV soap as Katy Harris.

She has said previously: "Alan is my other half, I'm not complete without him."

Lucy-Jo left the soap two years ago, but she and Alan have remained extremely close, despite her flying half way around the world to film her new show.
