Lucy Liu reveals 'beauty secrets'

9 October 2007 - Hollywood actress Lucy Liu has told InStyle.com her tips for staying beautiful.

Asked how she keeps her skin so smooth, she said that she drinks plenty of water and stays clear of things which she believes can damage skin such as coffee and facials.

The star of Ally McBeal and Kill Bill also revealed that she likes to keep her skin clean and only uses "a little concealer".

"I don't even put on sunscreen, but I don't sit in the sun either," she added.

Asked about her hair, Liu said that she does not blow-dry it because she is too busy.

She also does not dye her hair because it "is so dark that I'd have to bleach it to add colour".

The interviewer asked if she had any indulgences to which Liu responded that she splashes out on acupuncture which helps keep skin looking younger.

Beyond the basics however, Liu admitted that most of her make up is done by other people.

Speaking of her mother who asks her for make-up tips, she said: "She sees how amazing my makeup looks, but it's not me. It's the people putting it on."

Liu cames 56th in FHM's hundred sexiest women in the world list in 2005.
