David Gest the child
23 October 2007 - David Gest feels he is going through a second childhood.
The 54-year-old record producer claims he has become a cool teenager again, hanging out with young stars in London's hippest part of town.
David told Britain's The Independent newspaper: "My life is so different now. My friends are all 22 or 24. I hang out in Camden Town at this bar Amy Winehouse hangs out in.
"I'm like a teenager. I'm living though a second childhood, and loving very effing minute of it.
"I don't want to live in the past. I could have given it all up for a happy marriage. But now - I'd really rather go for a drink, go dancing in Camden, listen to the Kaiser Chiefs."
The ex-husband of Liza Minnelli claims his appearance on reality show 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here' made him love life again.
He said: "I realised if I could live in the jungle with so little food and still have a happy life, then everything I thought was important just wasn't. I just felt I don't care. I could go back to a very sparse home with just a few good books. I didn't need any of it anymore.
"I've bought a house in Cambridge. It's not huge, it's got a nice living-room and a couple of bedrooms.
"It's just so English. I love the people. There's something about the history. I just feel so at home.
"I've made a lot of friends I make friends wherever I go."
