Paris Hilton to be sent to the jungle?

17 October 2007 - Paris Hilton is reportedly in talks to appear on the next series of I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.

Earlier this year, it emerged that the socialite had agreed a £300,000 contract to appear on Channel 4's Celebrity Big Brother, but the deal fell through when plans for the show were abandoned.

According to the Daily Star, the 26-year-old could receive as much as £500,000 for heading into the jungle for the ITV reality competition.

A source told the news provider that Paris was "on standby" to start filming the show in Australia, during which she hopes to show the world that her recent prison sentence has transformed her life.

"Paris really wants to prove to everyone how much jail has changed her," "Paris really wants to prove to everyone how much jail has changed her," the source remarked.

"She's terrified of bugs and snakes but she is willing to give this a go just to show the world that she isn't just a party animal."

Next month, Paris is flying to Rwanda for a five-day humanitarian visit to schools and healthcare clinics.

Some of the other names mentioned to potentially take part in I'm a Celebrity include Right Said Fred's Richard Fairbrass and former Shalimar star Jeffery Daniel.
