Winehouse comes over all maternal

Soulful singer Amy Winehouse has said that she'll quit the music scene once she has her first child as she would want to be a full-time mum.

The beehive-haired, hard-partying 23-year-old star wed Blake Fielder-Civil in Miami, Florida, last month and seems to be settling into the family way of thinking very swiftly.

"I know I am talented but I wasn't put here to sing," she said.

"I was put here to be a wife and mum and look after my family. I love what I do but it's not where it begins and ends."

However, reports that the couple rowed after returning to their Los Angeles hotel following Amy's performance of mega-hit Rehab at the MTV Music Awards suggests that there may not be total marital bliss.

"As soon as they walked into the lobby they started screaming at each other," an unnamed source told the Daily Mirror.

"[Amy] was in tears but Blake tried to walk away. It wound her up so much she pushed him into a hedge."

But things turned out alright as the pair made up and embraced after Amy calmed down, although an exasperated Blake was heard to say: "Why do you always do this? I'm always propping you up."
