New baby daughter for Pete and Katie

Singer with a six-pack Peter Andre is delighted to be a father for the second time, but is worried about being over-protective.

The Australian star's glamour model wife Katie Price, also known as Jordan, gave birth to the couple's first daughter on Friday and Peter is determined to be a strict father.

"I am going to be so protective, she is not going to be let out until she is 64," he said.

"My beautiful wife has given birth to a beautiful, beautiful stunning girl with massive eyes. We've been blessed today. She's really incredible."

The girl, named Crystal, joins the couple's two-year-old son Junior and five-year-old Harvey from 28-year-old Katie's previous relationship with footballer Dwight Yorke.

This happy news follows Katie's miscarriage heartbreak in July last year when she was three and a half months pregnant.

And Peter has had recent health problems too after contracting the deadly brain disease meningitis in April this year, prompting internet rumours that he had died.

The 34-year-old singer eventually had to issue a statement from his hospital bed after some 30,000 messages of condolence were posted on his website.
