Take That: the musical
Comeback kings Take That will soon see a musical based on their songs hit the West End.
Never Forget will be an easy-going comedy centred on a Take That tribute act rather than the story of the band themselves and has been written by Danny Brocklehurst, who has been behind hit TV series like Shameless, Clocking Off and Sorted.
Songs featuring in the show will include Relight My Fire, Pray, Back For Good, and Never Forget.
Producer Tristan Baker says, "We look forward to creating a legacy with these well-loved songs in the way that shows such as Mamma Mia (a stage musical based on the songs of Abba) have done before."
Never Forget will be another landmark step in the revival of the big-selling pop band that reformed last year, although without Robbie Williams, after they had a sell-out tour, a number one album and won a Brit Award.
Never Forget will tour the country before arriving in the West End and will hold its world premiere in Cardiff before further shows in Glasgow, Manchester, Stoke-on-Trent and Edinburgh.
