The One and Only - Kylie tribute act working hard to fit into hotpants
30 January 2008 - A Liverpool lass is putting in the hours to ensure her tribute performance of Kylie Minogue will impress the judges this week.
Victoria Jones has told the Liverpool Echo that she is also exercising whenever she can after she found out she would be wearing a version of Kylie's famous gold hotpants for her next performance on BBC One's The One and Only.
"I was down at the gym every day when I found out I'd be wearing the shorts!" she quipped.
"Kylie's like a little doll and I could never be like that, but I was determined to get myself as toned up as I could for Spinning Around."
Jones, from Bootle, has been competing in the TV tribute talent show each week to win the top prize of a three-month residency in Las Vegas.
However, after seeing off a number of contestants in the first few rounds she came close to going out last week after performing Can't Get You Out Of My Head.
Fortunately her fellow contestants thought she had done enough in the vote-off to keep her on the show.
Other tribute acts still in the show include Elton John, Tom Jones and Robbie Williams.
