Strictly Come Dancing Letitia Dean´s baby breakup

25 October 2007 - Letitia Dean's marriage broke down because her husband didn't share her desire to have a baby, the actress' mother-in-law has revealed.

The former 'EastEnders' star - who is currently appearing in 'Strictly Come Dancing' - was desperate to become a mum but her husband of five years, Jason Pethers, wanted to wait until he had enough money to provide for his family.

But Letitia knew, at the age of 39, time wasn't on her side and decided to end the marriage.

Her mother-in-law, Joan Pethers, revealed to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "They both wanted children but Jason wanted to wait until he could afford it. She had a lot more money than him. I think, like any man, he wanted to look after his wife."

Joan said her son was still in love with Letitia and did not rule out a reconciliation.

She said: "They were happy. It was no dramatic thing - they haven't found someone else. I guess they just fell out of love for the time being.

"I would be very surprised if they did not get back together as they love each other so much. Jason still wants Letitia back."
