Strictly Come Dancing Letitia on marriage split
6 November 2007 - She may sparkle each week on Strictly Come Dancing, but Letitia Dean has been heartbroken since her marriage split last year.
In an interview with Hello! magazine cited in the Mirror, the former EastEnders star said she was devastated when she and husband Jason Pethers decided to separate 18 months ago.
Letitia has not discussed the marriage breakdown until now but explained that she has tried to be strong even though neither party wanted to split.
However, she said that although breaking up with Jason was "horrible", they are far from estranged and she is not completely ruling out a future reunion.
"I realise you never say never. I'm not seeing anybody at the moment - I'm totally single - but we're not divorced," she told the newspaper.
Meanwhile, performing on Strictly Come Dancing alongside celebs such as Alesha Dixon and Kate Garraway is proving to be an enjoyable challenge for Letitia, who said she is "loving it" but "out of my comfort zone".
She added that not only had she wanted to learn to dance for years, but the rigorous training has also helped her lose weight.
Last year, Strictly Come Dancing was won by Mark Ramprakash and Karen Hardy.
