Big Brother Amanda has an attack of trichophobia

Today there was an emergency in the big brother house for one of our loveable housemates. There will be a national outpouring of grief when the public learn of poor Amanda's plight.

"I need to add something dead important to the shopping list," said Amanda imploringly as she addressed Big Brother in the Diary Room.

"I need, like, look at my hair roots. They're really, really bad and they're driving me crazy - I have a phobia of roots," she gabbled, barely pausing for breath. "They actually scare me when I look in the mirror," she added, "like I get really scared, so do you know what's best for me to have?"

"I don't want an evil dye," she went on, "because they'd just go yellow. My sister uses bleach, or something. It's dead cheap. Big Brother, what do you suggest?" she asked.

The problem was that Amanda didn't really know what she needed. "Do you not have any ideas at all maybe?" she pleaded.

Big Brother suggested it was up to Amanda to find out. "I do know what it is," she said excitedly, "it's bleach that's about £2.50, but then you have to have a brush and I don't know about this brush... I don't know what else you'd buy because I've never done it myself."

Big Brother then told Amanda she may have already missed the shopping list.

"Oh no Big Brother," she cried, throwing her head into her hands, "don't say that. I'm going to have a breakdown. Please Big Brother, it's dead scary. It's the worst."
