Amy Winehouse in Norwegian drug arrest
19 October 2007 - Amy Winehouse was arrested for possession of cannabis in Norway and spent the night in police custody, it has been revealed.
The troubled singer and her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, were arrested along with another unnamed man at a Radisson hotel in south-western Norway, where Winehouse is currently touring.
Due to the relaxed drug laws in the country, the Rehab songstress has already been released after paying a fine of 500 euros (£348).
"They were found with seven grams of marijuana. She's paid the fine, so this thing is over for us now. It is a closed case," said Lars Morten Lothe, a spokesperson for the local police.
Meanwhile, a source told the Sun: "After all the hype of Amy's drug use it is not surprising police are being extra cautious when she crosses borders - whether she has done something or not."
The 24-year-old has been heavily scrutinised lately, as her substance abuse problems have caused her to cancel some gigs or appear badly-prepared at others.
Recently, Amy Winehouse teamed up with another performer who has had his share of drug problems, Pete Doherty, to record a new duet.
