Strictly Come Dancing - Matt Di Angelo´s gangster dream
22 January 2008 - Matt Di Angelo "dreams" of becoming a Hollywood star.
The former 'EastEnders' actor wants to follow in the footsteps of his heroes Al Pacino and Robert De Niro by starring as a ruthless gangster on the big screen.
Matt told Britain's Soaplife magazine: "As an actor my heroes are Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. I'd love to be in something like a remake of Brian De Palma's 'Scarface' playing Pacino's role as Cuban gangster Tony Montana.
"Of course I dream of cracking Hollywood. Any actor dreams of doing that."
But despite wanting to become a Hollywood leading man, Matt insists he doesn't see himself as a "hunk".
The 'Strictly Come Dancing' star said: "I don't think I'm hunky or sexy. It's flattering when other people talk about me like that but it's just not the way I see myself."
Matt has recently been romantically linked to his 'Strictly...' dance partner Flavia Cacace.
Following the final show in December Flavia's ex-boyfriend and fellow dancer Vincent Simone claimed the 20-year-old actor "stole" her from him, but the pair insist they are still just friends.
