EastEnders - Matt Di Angelo and prostitute exit

8 January 2008 - Matt Di Angelo's character will leave 'EastEnders' after bedding a prostitute paid for by his mum.

The actor - who recently finished as the runner-up in hit show 'Strictly Come Dancing' - has been written out of the soap after producers decided to axe Deano Wicks and his family.

Deano is currently in prison but will return to Albert Square after his release, looking for some fun.

His mum Shirley, played by Linda Henry, organises a party to celebrate his homecoming but Deano isn't in the mood so goes to his mum's house and gets a prostitute and then demands his mum pay for her.

A source said: "It's shocking behaviour from Deano, who's become extremely aggressive since he's been locked up.

"He's not interested in catching up with Shirley - he just wants money. Getting her to pay the hooker is the final nail through her heart.

"She's devastated but he couldn't care less."

Meanwhile, Matt's 'Strictly Come Dancing' partner Flavia Cacace failed to show up for a weekend of tango coaching.

The 81 disgruntled pupils had paid £129 each for three days' training at a Coventry hotel but Flavia and her professional dance partner Vincent Simone cancelled an hour before so replacements had to step in.

Flavia and Vincent used were long-term lovers as well as professional dance partners but split after she became extremely close to Matt during the show and the pair are now said to be dating.

Vincent recently hit out at Matt saying he had stolen the only girl he had ever loved.
