McFadden says sorry
Steve McFadden has apologised for any interruption his recent bar fight caused to the EastEnders filming schedule, it has emerged.
The star, who plays hard man Phil Mitchell on the soap, was written out of some scenes after getting bruised during an altercation at a Cornish pub on July 29th.
McFadden told News of the World that after finding that his puffy black eye could not be covered with make-up, the producers "weren't best pleased" about delaying filming his scenes.
"I'm only human, I snapped. I'm sorry for any aggravation I've caused for EastEnders," he remarked.
"In the old days before the show it was normal to have a fight on a Friday night. There would be a pint, a curry and a punch-up. Now I've got to realise I can't behave like that."
In other EastEnders news, producers recently confirmed that comedian Bobby Davro will be joining the cast to play a character who is "the new Alfie Moon".
