Boozer brawl sidelines Enders' Steve
After being bruised in a pub fight, Eastenders' Steve McFadden was temporarily barred from working, it has emerged.
The actor, who plays hard man Phil Mitchell, was involved in an altercation outside a Cornish pub which left him swollen and bloodied, the Sun reports.
"We heard Steve was in a bad way and had to cancel all his scenes - it's the talk of the set. Any time a big star is off it throws things off-kilter," a source told the publication.
Producers wrote him out of scenes and reorganised the shooting schedule due to McFadden's black eye and battered appearance.
However, the 48-year-old is now back on the set of the BBC1 soap.
The scrap follows an EastEnders storyline in which reformed alcoholic Phil falls off the wagon and is beaten up by two thugs in an alleyway as a self-imposed punishment for not protecting his son from abuse.
