Dancing On Ice - Chris Fountain likened to Tasmanian Devil
15 January 2008 - Hollyoaks heartthrob Chris Fountain has been likened to the Tasmanian Devil by a Dancing On Ice judge, it has emerged.
In an appearance on This Morning, Jason Gardiner said Fountain - who plays Justin Burton on the Channel 4 teen soap - reminded him of the Looney Tunes character because of his chaotic energy.
"He whirls around and wrecks devastation in his path," Gardiner said, adding that the 20-year-old actor has "no connection" with his partner, Frankie Poultney.
Digital Spy reported at the weekend that fellow Dancing On Ice judge Nicky Slater told contestants that they should take Gardiner's criticism - which led to warnings from the show's producers last season - with a grain of salt.
Despite the criticism, Fountain has been hailed as the bookies' favourite to win the series.
According to the Sun, Ladbrokes' odds for Fountain to win jumped from 3-1 to 2-1 following the ousting of former Blue Peter presenter Sarah Greene on Sunday.
Gareth Gates and Suzanne Shaw are currently cited as the next likely to win the competition, with dark horse Aggie MacKenzie - host of How Clean Is Your House? - given 50-1 odds of walking away with the grand prize.
