Strictly Come Dancing star in love split

8 November 2007 - Strictly Come Dancing heartthrob Anton du Beke has split up with his long-term love, the Daily Mail has revealed.

The dancer, who is partnered with GMTV presenter Kate Garraway in the current series of the reality show, parted with girlfriend Caroline Feraday, a radio and TV presenter.

According to the newspaper, they were a couple for nearly a year and have gone their separate ways because things were just not working between them.

"Anton is a single man now but is sad about splitting with Caroline," a source said. "Although they never moved in together, they were pretty inseparable."

The dancer, whose real name is Tony Beak, took up the sport when he was 14 and, along with his professional partner Erin Boag, is rated as one of the top 24 ballroom couples in the world, it explains on his official website.

He has appeared in every series of Strictly Come Dancing so far, having taken to the floor with Lesley Garrett, Esther Rantzen, Patsy Palmer and Jan Ravens.

Fans of Strictly Come Dancing may want to catch judges Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman on the US version of the programme, which is entitled Dancing with the Stars.
