Strictly Come Dancing - Matt and Alesha on emotional rollercoaster

21 December 2007 - Both finalists in this year's Strictly Come Dancing series are full of emotions prior to the last battle.

According to the official BBC website, Alesha Dixon and Matt Di Angelo are both on a complete rollercoaster as they have been busy rehearsing for five dances throughout the week.

Matt said that the competition had changed his life and it was "an amazing experience" to participate in.

He added that he is desperate to keep his nerve during the final and be as successful on the dancefloor as he has been in the rehearsal room.

Meanwhile, Alesha became a bit tearful as she told the website how much she had enjoyed her time dancing with Matthew Cutler.

"This is the end of an era," she said. "Winning the competition would be the perfect end to a fairytale journey."

It also emerged that Alesha hurt her back during rehaearsals but should have recovered in time for the final.

Whatever the result, fans are sure to be thrilled by the last round of the competition, which is reported to feature an appearance by the Spice Girls.

They were originally scheduled to sing on the semi-final but had to postpone due to Baby Spice hurting her ankle.
