Strictly Come Dancing - James Jordan defends Gabby Logan

27 December 2007 - James Jordan has spoken about the recent series of Strictly and said he and Gabby Logan should have stayed longer.

The professional dancer, who is married to partner Ola Jordan, mentored Gabby this year but told the Daily Mail that she was good enough to have competed further into the show.

Unfortunately, Gabby and James were booted off in week four, but many viewers were left baffled as they were by far not the worst on the dancefloor.

"We didn't deserve to go out so early on," he explained. "Gabby was a great dancer and I really enjoyed teaching her."

James also said that because Ola had been partnered with Gabby's husband Kenny, the four now socialise outside of Strictly and get on really well.

"Ola and I have made two great friends," he said. "We were all able to hang out together."

As specialists in Latin dance, Ola and James regularly compete in contests across the globe and became husband and wife in 2003.

They also starred in the fourth series of Strictly, when James partnered with Casualty actress Georgina Bouzova and Ola mentored DJ Spoony.
