John McCririck booted off the Alan Titchmarsh Show for Ingrid Tarrant remarks
20 September 2007 - Racing pundit John McCririck was asked to leave a chat show following a series of comments about Ingrid Tarrant, who was also on the programme.
During the course of The Alan Titchmarsh Show, McCririck referred to Chris Tarrant's estranged wife as "ghastly" and claimed that her husband cheated because she was a flop in the bedroom.
Alan Titchmarsh then ordered McCririck to leave the ITV1 programme, calling his remarks "unbelievably rude".
The row began when the pundit turned to Tarrant and said: "Look at Ingrid here, she wrote that [Chris Tarrant] had erectile dysfunction and was rubbish in bed. Is she any better?"
He later added: "You can't be any good in bed - that's why he strayed away. All I can say is poor old Chris Tarrant, look at what he had to work with if he was bad in bed."
At this point, Titchmarsh ordered McCririck off the show.
The Tarrants' former relationship suffered a very public disintegration, with both parties making allegations about the other's failings.
After it was reported that Ingrid had banned sex during the marriage, she hit back with claims that Chris was "clumsy" and needed Viagra to perform.
