I'm a Celebrity - Cerys Matthews may have upset ma and pa

26 November 2007 - Cerys Matthews has told Anna Ryder Richardson that her mum and dad are likely to be unimpressed by her jungle shenanigans.

The singer, whose flirtation with Marc Bannerman has been at the centre of much gossip and rumour, said her parents would be "squirming" at the relationship that has developed between the pair.

According to the Mirror, Cerys has compared the blossoming romance to that of Romeo and Juliet but thinks her folks may not be too impressed.

However, she admitted that she cannot wait to see Marc when the adventure down under comes to an end.

"I didn't think that you could get so intense in such a short amount of time with anybody," she told Anna.

The newspaper also explained how Cerys, who is divorced with two children, had received a note from Marc after he left the jungle saying that he would like to see her afterwards if she wanted.

Meanwhile, Rodney Marsh told Ant and Dec about the lovebirds upon his eviction, saying that there was obviously something between Marc and Cerys from the minute they met.

"They just seemed to get on fantastically, they just connected," the ex-footballer added.
