EasetEnders' Samantha Janus´ stateside ambition
30 November 2007 - Samantha Janus wants to move to America to pursue her acting career.
The 'EastEnders' star - who plays feisty Mitchell sister Ronnie - longs do be an action hero and feels women don't get the chance on British TV.
Samantha told BANG Showbiz: "I beat up Roxy on the show and it was fantastic. You don't get to so that much as a woman, particularly on British TV.
"If you work in The States it's much better and they get to do stunts and stuff.
"I've only ever done one thing like that before, it was science fiction where I got to be quite physical, and I liked that, it was strange."
The 35-year-old actress attended children's fantasy adventure 'The Golden Compass's London premiere with her husband Mark Womack, even though their kids - six-year-old son, Benjamin, and two-year-old daughter, Lily-Rose - were too young to join them, because she was so keen to see the film.
She said: "I'm really excited about seeing it. I love special effects and I'm a big fan of fantasy. I'm disappointed I couldn't bring my son but he's six-and-a-half and I just thought it might be a bit too much for him."
