Danielle Lloyd cleared of cheating

11 October 2007 - Danielle Lloyd has been cleared of cheating to win Miss Great Britain 2006.

The 23-year-old model was stripped of her crown last year over claims she only won because she was dating contest judge Teddy Sheringham.

Danielle has always insisted she was innocent and her libel case was settled out of court yesterday (10.10.07).

She said: "The past couple of years have been hard. It hurt to be called a cheat when I won fair and square."

Miss Great Britain chiefs took action after Danielle gave an interview to a magazine saying former England footballer Teddy had given her a pair of designer Jimmy Choo shoes at Christmas 2005.

However, Danielle - who won the title in February 2006 but was stripped of it in November - always insisted she only got together with Teddy after her victory.

Her claim was backed by Teddy, who signed a statement saying they met after the competition.

It later emerged the beauty queen was given the shoes by Jimmy Choo himself.

Danielle and Teddy split earlier this year following her disastrous appearance on 'Celebrity Big Brother'.

The blonde glamour girl was accused of racially bullying winner Shilpa Shetty, along with fellow housemates Jo O'Meara and Jade Goody, but later claimed she was influenced by Jade.
