X Factor - Dermot O´Leary warns against messing with Sharon Osbourne
26 October 2007 - X Factor host Dermot O'Leary has admitted that he would never dare to cross Sharon Osbourne.
The 34-year-old explained to the Sun that Sharon is "a wonderful, adorable woman" if you are on her good side, but added that "you would never, ever mess with her".
Dermot said that he considers himself the contestants' "buddy" and was prepared to "stick up for them" if he thought they were receiving unfair treatment from judges.
"I know them all quite well now so I know what buttons I can press and when to press them. You know how far to take it with each of them," he commented.
Dermot claimed that he has a comfortable relationship with Simon Cowell because he "likes tension and he loves being the villain".
Despite appearing alongside celebrities on a regular basis, the former DJ said that he still feels excited when he gets to meet his favourite stars.
"I'm glad I still feel like that. I love what I do so much," he remarked.
It has recently been reported that Sharon Osbourne will be returning to X Factor, following a meeting with Simon Cowell and executive producer Richard Holloway. Read the full story about Sharon's dramatic exit last Saturday >
