Baby dreams for Strictly Come Dancing's Penny Lancaster

4 October 2007 - Penny Lancaster has confessed that she and husband Rod Stewart are hoping to have a second child very soon.

The 36-year-old told the Sun that they hope to start trying to conceive after the end of Strictly Come Dancing, in which Penny is a contestant.

"I'm happy to wait until next year to try for a baby. My aim is to get all the way to the end of Strictly Come Dancing so I can learn all the routines," she said.

Penny also said that her body is still in shock from the tough three-hour rehearsals for the show.

"I've got a huge blister and I'm covered in bruises because [partner] Ian and I keep bashing kneecaps, but I'm loving it," she remarked.

The model called partner Ian Waite "the sweetest guy" and praised him for having patience with her as a beginner.

She also complemented her husband for his constant support and explained that he gives her confidence to perform and succeed.

Recently, fellow Strictly Come Dancing contestant Kate Garraway suggested that she may be forced to quit the show following a painful case of tendonitis.
