Sharon to quit X Factor?

Sharon Osbourne has threatened to quit ITV talent show X Factor after the next series - as she is fed up of losing out to pop mogul Simon Cowell.

Recent years have seen acts under the guidance and tutelage of Sharon miss out on winning the competition due to the public votes which have favoured stars produced by Simon.

However, the wife of Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne has said that this fifth series of the show will be her last if she suffers another disappointment.

She said: "If I don't win I will fire myself before someone else does."

But this year's show is gearing up to be better than ever, according to Sharon's fellow judge Simon.

However, as is typical of reality talent shows, the very best of acts will be surrounded by many more of the very worst.

"One group were without question the worst act I have seen ever," Simon recently told the Daily Mirror.

"They were mutants. It was like a nuclear bomb had gone off and this was what emerged five years later."

Both Simon and Sharon will be joined on the judging panel this autumn by Louis Walsh, who had been dumped by Cowell before a change of heart, as well as new presenter Dermot O'Leary.
