Emmerdale star in nightclub brawl
Kelvin Fletcher, who plays Andy Sudgen in ITV soap Emmerdale, has been arrested after being involved in two fights in a nightclub while out boozing with his brother.
Kelvin, 23, was out celebrating his brother Dean's 21st birthday on March 4th at the Gatecrasher nightclub in Oldham but the pair allegedly got involved in a fight with another club-goer and were then escorted out of the venue.
However, during their removal from the club two security staff members suffered cuts and bruises, according to Gerard Frankling, a spokesman for Gatecrasher.
The brothers were arrested and questioned before being released on bail.
Detective Sergeant John Cousins said: "We interviewed both men on suspicion of assault. None of the people involved needed medical treatment."
An ITV spokeswoman confirmed that Kelvin was helping police with their inquiries, but would not reveal whether the show would take disciplinary action of its own.
This is not the first time Kelvin has been in trouble with the police as in 2004 he was arrested for alleged criminal damage, but there was no further action taken.
