Emmerdale's Kelvin Fletcher only has eyes for one girl
16 October 2007 - Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher has explained that he cannot wait to settle down and start a family with his real-life girlfriend.
The star, who plays Andy Sugden on the soap, told the Sun that he and partner Liz Marsland make jokes about the number of different women he has to kiss on Emmerdale.
His character has romanced attractive women played by the likes of Roxanne Pallett, Charley Webb and Sammy Winward.
However, the 23-year-old says that he is completely happy in his current relationship and wants to take the next step.
"I'm young but I can't wait to marry and have kids. I'll be happiest when I've got my wife and my home," he remarked.
Kelvin also said that he tries to avoid celebrity hangouts, where girls are looking for the opportunity to get to know someone famous.
"They expect you to be in the VIP lounge at a club. But if you stand in the corner with a beer, I guarantee they'll leave you to it - and you'll be left with genuine people," he said.
Emmerdale has been on the air for 35 years.
