I'm a Celebrity - Insider says Marc Bannerman's flirting is set up

21 November 2007 - Forget cutting off his kangaroo balls, because it could be that Marc Bannerman's girlfriend is not angry after all.

A source on the set of I'm a Celebrity & Get Me Out of Here has told the London Paper that Marc's flirtation with Cerys Matthews is all a set-up - and what's more, his girlfriend Sarah Matravers is behind it all, Now reports.

She recently arrived in Oz and told waiting reporters that she wanted to cut off his "kangaroo balls" due to his blossoming friendship with singer Cerys.

But according to the source, Marc and Sarah plotted for him to cause a stir and create headlines by pretending to have a soft spot for Cerys.

"The gossip is it's all a set-up, that they agreed Marc would go in and flirt outrageously with someone," the insider claims.

Marc may see I'm a Celebrity as an effective way to relaunch his career, as his last role was in Footballers Wives: Extra Time back in 2006.

Prior to this, he starred in EastEnders as Gianni di Marco and Time Gentlemen Please with the hilarious comedian Al Murray.
