Kerry Katona suffers miscarriage

26 September 2007 - Kerry Katona has suffered a miscarriage in her home.

On the same day that the former I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here winner announced her pregnancy in OK! magazine, she was taken to hospital.

The cover of the magazine featured the headline "Oh no, I'm pregnant again!" and an interview with the mum-of-three was included inside.

"I'm dead excited. I'm only five or six weeks," she told the publication.

"It's such early days, which is why I'm so nervous about announcing it. I've been bleeding a lot in the past few days and I've been petrified that I might be miscarrying - but I've bled in all my previous pregnancies so I'm praying everything is OK."

Kerry also explained that she and husband Mark Croft were both taken by surprise by the pregnancy.

The former Atomic Kitten singer's publicist, Max Clifford, said that she was faring "as good as she can be in the circumstances".

He added that she is "resilient" and would "bounce back" from the sad event.

Kerry and Mark wed in Gretna Green in February and shortly after she gave birth to a daughter, Heidi, who was born prematurely.
