Katie Holmes - Speaks out about Tom Cruise and the Scientology lies

17 January 2008 - Katie Holmes speaks out about how her life has changed since she married Tom Cruise

Hollywood star Katie Holmes has spoken out about the various Scientology lies that are circulating in an interview with Bob Thompson of the National Post.

Katie admitted that there are lots of lies circulating about Tom, Suri and herself. She told Bob:
"Well, yes, there's always a lot of attention and a lot of paparazzi...I'm aware of what's out there, of course."

Yesterday a nine minute Scientology rant by Tom Cruise was posted on the internet site YouTube. It has since been removed.

Katie knew that choosing to be with Tom Cruise would lead to lots of media attention. She knows that she "married the biggest movie star ever."

Katie told Bob Thompson that she would continue to live her life to the full. She loves being a wife, mother and actress,
"I feel the same inspiration that I've always felt to work, and becoming a mom really awakens me to a lot more things like that."

Katie is very grateful for her own mother,
"Yeah, and I really appreciate my mom...She's the mother of five and now I understand why she said that she got used to not sleeping for 30 years."

Katie revealed that she does want more children. When Bob Thompson asked if she would like four more kids she replied,
"No, I'd have to bring my mom out for that!"
