Celebs head to Liverpool boutique

10 October 2007 - A number of celebrities have been spotted shopping for clothes in a new fashion shop in Liverpool, it has emerged.

Desires, which was opened by Maria Byrne six weeks ago and is located on Allerton Street in the Merseyside city, has already had pop singers come through the door, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Atomic Kitten singer Liz McClarnon is one of the famous faces to have reportedly checked out the shop's products, while other familiar names may soon be seen there.

"Coleen McLoughlin was in Rachel Hunter's salon next door to the shop, so I had a chat to her and she says she'll definitely be coming in," said Ms Byrne.

Commenting on the location of the shop, she added: "I'd been out on Allerton Road a few times and realised that, while there were so many bars and restaurants, an exclusive women's clothes shop was just what the area needed."

Potential visitor to the shop McLoughlin is the fiancée of England footballer Wayne Rooney and is also regarded by the press as a regular shopper.

She is often photographed in newspapers showing off the latest designs and colours.
