X Factor - "Laughing stock" Rhydian Roberts almost quit
10 October 2007 - X Factor finalist Rhydian Roberts is allegedly fuming with editors of the show who he feels have made him look like a panto villain.
A friend revealed: "Rhyd is not happy about how he's been made a laughing stock. He feels his auditions footage was unfairly edited to make him look like an idiot."
He added that Rhydian felt the other finalists were given more sympathetic editing and a chance to tell their sob stories.
It is also alleged that Rhydian wanted to throw in the towel even before the live shows begin on Saturday.
The opera singer, from Powys, Mid Wales, apparently failed to turn up at the show's residential mansion on Monday night despite making it through.
But another source added: "He's going to try and get his real personality across on the live shows and hope people warm to him."
