X Factor - Leon Jackson´s binge drink victory
19 December 2007 - Leon Jackson wants to celebrate his 'The X Factor' win by going on a drinks binge.
The 18-year-old - who won the talent show by 1% of the vote on Saturday (15.12.07) -is planning on becoming well known for his wild partying, and even wants to be awarded the 'Caner of the Year' award by Britain's The Sun newspaper.
He said: "I'm not shy about nipping to the corner shop to get myself a cheeky half bottle of Buckfast. I like to drink my beer but if it's not going down well I like some vodka Red Bull.
"It gets me steaming then keeps me going through the rest of the night!"
Leon added that despite performing with Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue on Saturday night, he would prefer to chat up her sister Dannii first.
He laughed: "I'd probably chat Dannii up first as she's the younger of the two. But that was some outfit Kylie was wearing. I had to concentrate on the duet but it's not easy when she's in front of you wearing lace undies!"
The 'When You Believe' singer also commented on allegations that votes for the talent show had been rigged to ensure his victory.
He said: "Talk of votes being rigged is very upsetting. I don't know if they were. The voting is out of your hands. But it's put more pressure on me to work even harder now.
"I want to make Scotland proud and take the criticism with a pinch of salt."
