"It was great to be back home and catch up with friends and family. Many people have supported me and the reception was an opportunity for me to catch up with them and thank them personally.
"I am heading off to London soon but I will never forget the support that I have received from the people of West Lothian."
Provost Kerr who hosted the reception told the Scotsman, "He is a genuine and talented young man, and he is a fantastic ambassador for West Lothian."
