X Factor - There's only one Rhyd in this village
11 December 2007 - Classically-trained singing sensation Rhydian Roberts could guest star on Little Britain, he has told Star magazine.
The white-haired Welshman, who is the hot favourite to win this series of X Factor, told the mag that Matt Lucas had approached him about appearing in the popular comedy show.
Matt is known to many as one half of the Little Britain duo, alongside David Walliams.
The two often dress up as women in their sketches, but there is one character in particular who Rhyd is not so keen on starring opposite - Dafydd, the Welshman who believes he is the "only gay in the village".
Rhyd remarked: "As long as I don't appear as Dafydd's other half, I'm fine."
Dafydd often trots about in leather hotpants in the fictional village of Llandewi Breffi and tells pub landlady Myfanwy about how he cannot find a boyfriend.
If Rhydian was to guest-star on the show, he would not be the first celebrity to do so. It has previously featured cameos from TV personalities such as Jamie Theakston, Dawn French, Peter Kay and Nigel Havers.
