X Factor - Rhydian Roberts a no-show at afterparty

18 December 2007 - Rhydian Roberts snubbed the official X Factor afterparty, it was revealed today.

After losing out in the final to Scottish teenager Leon Jackson, Rhyd was a no-show at the bash and apparently in no mood for celebrating, the Sun claimed.

According to reports, broadcasting watchdog Ofcom is currently looking into complaints from viewers who believe the result was fixed.

Some fans who tried to vote via telephone for the Welsh singer said they could not get through even after making multiple attempts.

And Rhydian, who won the hearts of thousands of viewers, believes he was stitched up, a source told the newspaper.

"He didn't feel he had anything to celebrate last night, so thought it best to stay away until an investigation is held into the phone voting," the insider added.

However, Rhyd may not have faced the music at the party, but Hope, Fearne Cotton and Dermot O'Leary all made an appearance.

Louis Walsh and Leon - who is now in possession of a £1 million recording contract - also showed up to dance the night away.
