Shane Ward to the rescue
25 September 2007 - Pop singer and celebrity pin-up Shayne Ward jumped to the rescue of one his fans yesterday, it has emerged.
Fans of the former X Factor winner were queuing to meet the star in a Liverpool Woolworths store when one girl in her 20s collapsed to the ground as she got closer to her idol, the Daily Star reports.
After contacting security, Ward ran over to see if he could help out with the situation. The girl in question was crying, according to the publication.
Ward left what he was doing behind to see if he could offer assistance to the upset fan in the queue, it is reported.
One onlooker told the Daily Star: "Shayne was brilliant. He jumped up from the table where he'd been signing CDs and rushed to help."
The dramatic events occurred as the reality TV show-winning singer was signing copies of his new single No U Hang Up. People had been waiting in the queue for hours before being able to meet the man.
Ward's other hit singles, which have had varying degrees of success in the UK charts, include breakthrough tune That's My Goal.
