Coronation Street wants Bruno Langley back

19 October 2007 - Coronation Street bosses have admitted that they would love to have Bruno Langley return to the soap long-term.

The 24-year-old has come back to the show for 12 episodes to play Todd Grimshaw, as his brother Jason walks down the aisle with Sarah Platt.

Keiren Roberts, executive producer, told the Sun that the show would love to see Bruno return so they can develop more storylines with his character.

"We've been very impressed with Bruno's performances and the writers will be coming up with ideas to bring Todd back," he said.

"He's a terrific actor and it would be great for the Grimshaws to have him back for good. There's a lot of scope for storylines Todd because of his history with Jason, Eileen and Sarah."

Meanwhile, Ryan Thomas, who plays his brother Jason, said that "it makes sense" for Todd Grimshaw to return and that he has discussed the possibility with Bruno.

Bruno played the first openly gay character on Coronation Street from 2001 to 2004 and has since appeared in Doctor Who and Dalziel and Pascoe.

He has a partner, Victoria, as well as a six-month-old son named Freddie.
