Big Brother' twins Sam and Amanda to become global brand
11 October 2007 - 'Big Brother' twins Sam and Amanda are hoping to become a global brand.
Samanda - who released their own cover version of 'Barbie Girl' into the singles charts this week (08.10.07) - hope to follow in the footsteps of famous twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
Sam told BANG Showbiz: "We love the Olsen twins and we think they're great and everything they've done is amazing.
"We never dreamed anything like this could happen to us but when we came out of the 'Big Brother' house we were offered a record deal. At first we thought, 'Oh my God, you're joking'. But when we realise they were serious we said, 'Defo'.
"We've also just become the new faces of a skincare range called Young and Pure and we're getting our own perfume called Samanda which is so exciting.
"They've even got us to do a fitness DVD which is going to be so girlie, it's brilliant."
Amanda added: "And we've been to loads of meetings with shops that want us to bring out our own clothing line and we've had offers to do TV shows. There are so many things happening all at once."
But the girls are determined not to let fame go to their heads, and plan to go back to university after their time in the spotlight is over.
Sam said: "The Olsen twins have been famous since they were really young and they have their acting skills to fall back on. We don't want to take any of this for granted. It's like a dream but we just want to enjoy it while it lasts.
"We've thought about getting into fashion while we are you, but when we're a bit older we are going to go back to university and finish our Social Work degree and we're still going to be social workers one day."
The 19-year-old blonde Barbie girls are currently living together and believe they will never be parted, not even by 'Big Brother' winner Brian who is dating Amanda.
Amanda said: "I'm still going out with Brian and it's dead good, but I'm not moving in with him.
"Sam and I are renting together and we're hoping to invest in a flat together.
"One day we'll both settle down and we'll live apart but we'll still do everything together.
"We want the same things so we'll have the same job and we'll ALWAYS shop together."
