The Tardis Kylie Minogue
Kylie Minogue is the Tardis, according to 'Doctor Who' buffs.
Diehard fans of the sci-fi show claim the 'Spinning Around' singer's appearance in this year's Christmas special solves the ancient mystery of The Doctor's time travelling machine.
Kylie plays Titanic waitress Astrid Pearl in the show, which is filmed in Wales' capital, Cardiff. Astrid is an anagram of Tardis and Perth means "part" in Welsh; so her character's name translates as "part Tardis".
It has also been revealed the 39-year-old Aussie pop star leaves the show by spinning away into space, just like the Tardis does.
A BBC source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Viewers have often been told the Tardis is a living organism.
"But mystery has always surrounded what it is and what gives it its powers. The elements we know about Kylie's appearance all point towards her being the Tardis.
"The fact Kylie had a hit called 'Spinning Around' is an added irony."
The Doctor - currently played by David Tennant has always travelled through time and space in the Tardis which looks like an old fashioned police call box from the outside, but inside is a vast spaceship.
