Rival X Factor bands clash

17 October 2007 - Two X Factor rival bands reportedly got involved in a heated clash due to the immense pressure of the competition.

Boy-band Futureproof and girl-band Hope entered into a row at the finalists' house in north London, the Sun reports.

Both bands were created after individual competitors were booted off the show. Judges recommended that they form groups and then start the audition process again.

An insider told the publication that the problems stemmed from uncertainty about the intentions of mentor Simon Cowell.

"The boys know that Simon is especially keen to form a new Spice Girls - so that's where the rivalry formed," the source claimed.

"But a row just got a bit out of hand the other night and one of the producers was called to the house to sort things out."

Futureproof is made up of five members - Aaron Delahunty, Adam Chandler, Matthew Protheroe, Richard Wilkinson and Sean Rumsey.

Meanwhile, Hope is comprised of Leah Lauder, Charlie Mole, Emily Biggs, Raquelle Gracie and Phoebe Brown.

Hope has already run into some snarls along the path to stardom, as member Sisi Jghalef was axed from the show after it was revealed she had not completed a community service order.
